Foodbank Fun!

We wanted to let you all know a little bit more about what we do in Cats Protection to help out local community.

We have a cat food donation bin in Bulwell Tesco which is regularly overflowing (thank you Bulwell!) and we use that food to donate to local foodbanks in Nottingham.

At the minute, our regular foodbanks are Hope Foodbank, Broxtowe, Strelley Social Club Foodbank and Bilborough Foodbank. Our donations include: tinned cat food, cat biscuits and treats. Sometimes when we're lucky we even get collars and toys!

Here are some photos of the foodbank donations for you and a piece from two of our fabulous volunteers, talking about their experience with local foodbanks.

John at Bilborough Foodbank

"Jane and I are TNR (Trap Neuter and Return) volunteers with Cats Protection Nottingham.

We are pleased to be associated with two local foodbanks. Hope Foodbank in Broxtowe and Bilborough Foodbank.

Thanks to the kind generosity of the Bulwell Community donating cat food, and working closely with Tesco Bulwell, (Chris Tilley) we are able to assist both foodbanks with regular donations of cat food.

We are also, due to the generosity of Bestwood Village Community, able to donate plastic food carrier bags to both Foodbanks.

In addition, towels donated from Bestwood Village are distributed to local Vets.

Jane and I would like to say a big thank you for all the kind donations."

Thank you to everyone involved in the local foodbanks in Nottingham!
